The Darwin Stone

£1,380.00

A superb brown-hued York stone block that until the demolition in circa 2000 was set into the gable end stonework of a building located in Crayke, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This beautifully carved head is said to be of the famous naturalist, Charles Darwin. The block would look amazing set into the masonry of either a new or restored building.
